Agri-Trade Equipment Expo hosted its 16th anniversary edition of the Ag Innovations Competition, presented by AFSC, Frontline Farming, and RFD TV. The pitch-based competition showcased ground-breaking ideas that will make an impact on the agriculture industry for today’s farmer.
This year’s competition featured the top five finalists, selected by a panel of farmers. The finalists included:
- CARBON WORKS/640 Ag Inc. – CetaNi
- CROPSCANAG – CropScan Grain Analyzer
- DARK HORSE AG VENTURES – DH Connect
- GERINGHOFF CANADA – Integrated Air System (IAS)
- CURRENT GROUP – OPEN20
“Ag Innovations is always a standout moment within the expo as it showcases the creativity and problem-solving spirit that drives the industry forward,” says Krissy Fiddler, Agri-Trade Show Manager. “We were excited to see the great turnout to cheer on the innovators.”
This year’s winners are:
- Judges’ Choice Award $20,000: CURRENT GROUP – OPEN20
- Farmers’ Choice Award $5,000: CURRENT GROUP – OPEN20
About the Winning Innovation:
Current Group’s product, OPEN20, is a water bowl power saver. The goal of this product was to substantially cut power usage in a traditional water trough that had an element to keep the bowl thawed.
