Family Awards & Student Awards |
Each year , a farm family from Central Alberta is honored at a special VIP luncheon held on the Westerner Grounds. The identity of the family being honored is kept secret until that day and the winner is introduced at a special luncheon at the Chalet building. Recipients are nominated by members of the agriculture and business community. A special Agri-Trade selection review committee works diligently each year to access the entries and determine a winner. In addition to the farm family honors, the Agri-Trade bursary students from Olds College and Red Deer College are also introduced. Two students from each college are awarded $1,500 bursaries from Agri-Trade. Agri-Trade is very involved in bursary support for Olds College and Red Deer College. |
